Fishing Trips Running daily From Rock in the beautiful camel estuary of North Cornwall.
A family business run by Father and Son, Rodney and Jason. I have been a very keen angler for more than 30 years from both boat and shore. We have been running a successful charter boat business for 10 years.
Optimus Prime is in replacement of Batara Star 2 and is known for being the best charter boat in Rock, Cornwall. Same skipper just different boat, which is much better and bigger.
Optimus Prime is a Lochin 33, It is a very spacious and stable boat and known for being an excellent sea boat. She is equipt with all safety equiptment.
Fully approved and licensed for 12 passengers plus 2 crew, and a MCA COP for 20 miles.
She is powered by a 275 horsepower ford sabre, top speed of 14 knots and cruises compfortably at 10 knots.
There is a private flush toilet on board.
We are based in Rock, which is a coastal village in Cornwall. Rock is situated opposite Padstow on the northeast bank of the River Camel estuary. Approximately four miles northwest of Wadebridge with easy access from any part of North Cornwall.

2 Hour Mackerel Trip
This trip is fun for all the family and friends as well as beginners.
£15.00 per head
4 Hour Bottom and Reef Trip
This trip is very popular as you can catch a wide range of fish such as Pollock, Cod, Bass, Gurnard, Ling etc.. and on some occassions you can catch Tope.
£35.00 per head
8 hour trips available all year round depending on weather and tides, price to be discussed
This trip is for private charter only as the tides and sea conditions have to be just right. On this trip you will be using live bait such as launce and sand eels, maximum of 6 people as we use long traces.
6 hours - £400
This is for customers that would like to have the boat to themselves, This includes:
2 hour mackerel trip - £180
4 hour reef trip - £360
8 hour trip - price to be discussed
Tope Fishing (maximum 6 people)

Pick up point
We pick up on the pontoon in Rock, which is approximately 100 yards on the left before the ferry point. If tides are too low we pick up from the beach at the ferry point or there is a 15 minute walk towards daymer bay, we will let you know which pick up point to go to when you ring to book.
Longer Trips can be arranged.
All fishing tackle is supplied although you are very welcome to bring your own. I would recommend bringing warm clothing and water proofs, also if your on the longer trips then i would advise you to bring some food and drink.
If fishing is not for you we can do sight seeing trips and you could even get a chance to see dolphins, sun fish, seals, basking sharks and many different species of birds.
